Doing What Is Right...

The Psalmist knew that the path of righteousness was always the way to God's best. It is a theme throughout this great book. Psalm 106:2-3 says, "Who can speak of the mighty deeds of the LORD, or can show forth all of His praise? How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times!"

As we do this, the reality of God and His Glory will be displayed everywhere we go. Those who rub shoulders with us and know what we personally face in this physical life will be amazed at the supernatural element that flows from us. If we present ourselves to Him, it will happen...we can't help it. His Life will be seen and that Life is quite attractive to a hungry and dying world.

Brennan Manning says this: "We have the power to believe where others deny, to hope where others despair, to love where others hurt."

The world we live in has many dark places. For all of us, it takes courage and faith to embrace what is right, to shine a window of hope into our broken world, and help people see a glimpse of God's heart.

I can't think of a more desperate time than now, to let this glorious thing happen through us so that in every room of our life and every sphere of influence, His Life and Light are free to flow, influence and change.... Let's make up our minds and, with the Psalmist, purpose to "practice righteousness at all times" and He'll do the rest.

Indebted,
