Tremendous...

What a tremendous offer from God, through His Son, Jesus. In John 7:37, He stands and loudly extends to all: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me. Whoever believes in me, let him drink. As Scripture says, streams of living water shall flow out from him. He [Jesus] was speaking of the Spirit...."

What could possibly happen through you and me if we were to fully live out this remarkable and generous proposal? Selah....

Very simply, He says, you must have soul thirst. Has life left you thirsty? True thirst will always drive us to seek out true drink.

Then He says come to me. Making the choice to stop going anywhere else but to Him, is a defining moment for all of us. It seems that I have to keep on learning and re-learning this. You can probably relate. When will we finally settle it, once and for all, that true satisfaction is in Him alone?

Thirdly, believe and drink. All true faith has cooresponding actions or works that believing in His Word demands.

The result is that "Streams of living water will flow from within you!" Not only will you be satisfied, but there will be a refreshing, unending flow gushing from you sufficient to refresh others; they will taste and see that the Lord is good through you.

We sing a song here: All of You, is more than enough for all of me, for every thirst and every need. You satisfy me with Your love, and all I have in you is more than enough.

How's the flow going? I've come to discover that if I'm feeling a little dry [thirsty] it's not His fault. Something is wrong with my thirst, my coming or my believing and drinking.

Father, please help me to get out of the way and "let the River flow in me" unhindered. Amen....

Love you all,

Mitch
