Thought I'd share this with you. Christian Singer John Michael Talbot was once part of a folk-rock group that performed with the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Janis Joplin. During his band's 1971 tour, he was alone in a Holiday Inn when a brilliant light filled his room. In the midst of the light stood Jesus in radiant robes, "his arms outstretched in a combination of gentleness and strength," as Talbot described the awe-inspiring moment. That moment, understandably, changed the course of his life. Now a lay Franciscan monk, Talbot uses his music in a reflective way to sing of the loveliness of the Jesus he once saw at that Holiday Inn. I've enjoyed his music...great to hear how he met Jesus...pretty cool story.
